Living with Chronic Pain

Living with Chronic Pain

Chronic pain changes everything – how you move, how you relate to your body, how you experience time, rest, and connection. It can be invisible to others, but always present in your life. It may come with frustration, shame, grief, exhaustion, or even fear of not being believed.

You are not imagining it. You are not “too sensitive.”
Living with chronic pain is real – and it’s hard.

Whether your pain has a clear medical cause or remains undiagnosed, you deserve support that sees the full picture of who you are – not just your symptoms.

How Peer Coaching Can Help

I’m not a doctor or therapist – but I am someone who lives with chronic pain too. I understand what it’s like to move through a world that often demands more than your body can give.

In our work together, we can:

  • Explore how chronic pain shapes your daily life, relationships, and identity
  • Develop gentle strategies for self-regulation and pacing
  • Work with the emotional side of pain – grief, anger, isolation, shame
  • Reconnect with your body as something more than just a site of struggle
  • Build a rhythm that honours your energy and limits
  • Navigate flare-ups and uncertainty with more self-compassion
  • Simply be present with what is, without having to justify or explain

A Trauma-Sensitive & Body-Aware Approach

Many people living with chronic pain also carry trauma – whether physical, emotional, or relational.
Pain may be rooted in the body, but its echoes touch the nervous system, memory, and emotions.
That’s why I work with a trauma-informed, body-aware lens: slowly, gently, and with full respect for your boundaries.

Your body is not a problem to be solved.
It’s a source of wisdom, resilience, and connection – even when it hurts.

Accessibility Matters

Sessions are available online and in person, with flexible pacing and timing whenever possible.
You are welcome to show up however you are – lying down, with the camera off, with pauses, stimming, or with interruptions.

This is a low-pressure space where your energy and needs are honoured, not questioned.

If you have specific accessibility needs (physical, sensory, cognitive, emotional), feel free to let me know – I will always do my best to adapt.

If You Live with Chronic Pain, You Are Not Alone

I don’t offer quick fixes – but I offer a space where your experience is valid, your body is respected, and your pain is not the only story being told.

Let’s begin from where you are – and listen for what’s possible.
